This is what Goldeneye once looked like.

Wow, talk about different. The detail in this picture is alot lower than that of the final CG model, but that is obviously because it was fairly early in development that this model was made. Still, he looks totally different in the face, and you can just pick out his goldeneye on the left there.

...And here is the guy we know now.

Of course, this is what Goldeneye looks like now, and he looks a good deal better I think. In the early design, he looked like a classy guy though. I don't know if that's better, or worse, just saying. But I guess the new model looks cooler and probably fits better into modern day culture.
